This is a magic prop similar to the classic Chinese Sticks. A string runs through two connected bamboo wands and can be freely pulled up and down. When the magician separates the wands, the string appears to be broken in two. But with an “invisible string,” the magician magically reconnects them — pull one string, and the other moves as if still linked! Yet when handed to the audience, they can’t make it work. A fun and puzzling effect that never fails to amuse.
