The real strength of Dominoes Prediction is simple: the final physical prediction always comes from the envelope.

No alternate reveal locations. No “maybe it’s behind this, maybe it’s somewhere else” structure. The envelope stays in view from the beginning, and the final matching domino is always taken from that same envelope — by the spectator themselves.

That clean ending is what makes this version feel so direct.

You hand the spectator a small white board and seven loose magnetic pips. Nothing is written, nothing is forced, and there is no selection process. They simply place the pips wherever they like, freely creating their own domino configuration.

You then reveal that you predicted their exact result before they ever began.

Effect

A small white board marked with a black dividing line and seven loose magnetic pips are handed to the spectator.

They can place the magnets anywhere they like and change their mind as often as they want, eventually creating a completely free domino configuration — for example, three pips on one side and four on the other.

You explain that their result was predicted in advance.

An envelope has been sitting in full view from the beginning.

You open it and remove... a small mirror.

Its reflection appears to match the domino they just created perfectly.

Of course, nobody is going to accept a mirror as a real prediction.

So you explain that the actual prediction is still inside the envelope.

The spectator reaches in themselves and removes a second domino.

Its pips match their freely created arrangement exactly.

And unlike the magnetic domino in the spectator’s hands, the prediction is completely fixed — the dots cannot be moved, rearranged, or changed.

Why This Version Feels So Clean

Many prediction routines rely on multiple possible outcomes appearing in different locations.

Dominoes Prediction does not.

The final physical prediction always comes from the same envelope that has been visible throughout the routine.

There is no need for the audience to wonder whether the correct result happened to be hidden somewhere else.

Everything leads to one clear ending:

the spectator opens the envelope and removes the exact matching prediction themselves.

Features

· The envelope remains in view from the beginning

· The final physical prediction always comes from that same envelope

· Small, portable, and easy to carry

· Highly interactive and suitable as an opener or standalone routine

A Different Kind of Prediction

There is something especially disarming about letting a spectator physically construct the result themselves.

They are not choosing a card, naming a number from a limited list, or writing something down.

They are moving real objects in real space, creating a pattern with their own hands and changing it freely until they are satisfied.

That sense of freedom makes the final revelation much stronger.

The mirror also gives the routine an unusual rhythm. For a moment, it appears that the performer is trying to get away with an obviously cheeky “prediction,” which lowers the tension and gets a reaction.

Then the real prediction appears.

And it appears exactly where it should:

inside the envelope that has been there from the start.
