Okito Box – Bacon Classic Brass Coin Box

A Timeless Tool for Modern Coin Magic

Simplicity Meets Power

The coin box is a seemingly simple prop, yet it opens doors to some of the most baffling effects in coin magic. With no hidden mechanisms or electronics, it’s a magician’s sleight of hand and creativity that bring it to life. Over the years, Bacon Magic has developed several innovative versions — like the Milo Box for Chinese coin and ribbon routines, or the L Box with unique gimmicked structures. But at the heart of all these designs lies the most fundamental coin box of them all:

The Okito Box.

A Legacy That Started in 1911

The original Okito Box was invented by magician Tobias Bamberg (1875–1963), better known by his stage name Okito — a name derived from reversing the letters of “Tokyo.” Born into a famed Dutch family of magicians, Okito was the sixth generation in the Bamberg dynasty and son of a royal court magician.

One day in 1911, while playing with a friend’s pillbox, Okito discovered its symmetrical structure could be used for magic. The result? The creation of the Okito Box, the very first coin box in history — no gimmicks, just pure structure and technique.

Bacon Magic’s Modern Refinement
