– Reviver 3rd Anniversary Playing Cards
Reviver was founded on April 5, 2021, and we’re excited to celebrate our 3-year anniversary with this special edition to reflect on the tireless hours we’ve spent working together. This anniversary deck embraces the signature acidic design of Reviver, blending elements from our classic releases with new design languages.
It’s a testament to our constant push to expand our aesthetic boundaries while staying loyal to our roots. We’re committed to maintaining the same high standards, great quality, and exceptional spirit that have defined us since day one.
In collaboration with our long-time partner, Bacon Playing Cards, we’ve combined their mature experience and technical expertise in card manufacturing to create an all-in-one deck that meets the diverse needs of cardistry, magic performances, and collectors.
Version Highlights:
1. Standard Ver.
* Back Design: Bold blueish-purple hue and an elegant, clean layout define the Standard Ver. The back of the cards features a pseudo-symmetrical design, suitable for cardistry and magic performances. Carefully crafted fonts and square typography give the deck a dynamic balance of refinement and power.
* Face Design: We’ve completely reimagined the face cards, replacing the traditional face designs with Polaroid photos representing three distinct daily life philosophies. The pips of Ace, Jack, Queen, and King are replaced by simple numbers, emphasizing a minimalist yet striking design.
* Finish: The deck is manufactured with the highly acclaimed Metallic Friction Finish and using Pantone silver metallic ink in the back.
* Box: Our signature glow-in-the-dark print, silver hot foil stamping, and innovative cut-out techniques complete the package. Further details will be unveiled soon.
* Limited Release: Only 2,000 decks are available worldwide.
2. Tireless Ver.
* Back Design: In celebration of our anniversary, we’ve created a second design that pushes the boundaries of playing card aesthetics. Named after our team member Eggie Xia’s poetry, this deck features bold, impactful ripples and typography on the back, with a large amount of empty space and an asymmetric, one-way design that leaves a lasting impression.
* Face Design: Same as the Standard Ver., face cards are replaced with minimalist instant camera photos, offering a cooler, more restrained aesthetic. The pips are also simply numbers, continuing the focus on simplification and purity.
* Finish: Retaining the highly praised Friction Finish for a smooth, durable handling experience. It’s both thin and elastic, perfect for different purposes.
* Box: Featuring glow-in-the-dark printing and blue hot foil stamping. More details to be revealed soon.
* Limited Release: Only 2,000 decks are available worldwide.
3. Holographic Limited Ver.
* Design: Based on the Standard Ver., this version is remade with a full blue reverse color scheme, keeping the clean and minimalist face design. Special cards feature different poetry selections compared to the symmetrical version.
* Finish: Using MPC’s new crushed finish and holographic foil stamping. This version offers a stable traditional linen finish that’s both visually stunning and smooth for card flourishes or magic performances.
* Limited Release: Only 200 decks are available worldwide.
4. Clearest Ocean Ver.
* Design: Inspired by our highly praised “Afterlife” concept deck, we’ve embraced avant-garde, radical design principles to create a bold new concept deck. The back continues the design language of the Tiredless Ver. with rebellious blue ripples that might be a symbol of thoughts, waves, beer, or the echoes of freedom.
* Face Design: All numbers and pips are removed. Instead, 52 different Polaroid photos filled the entire deck. The special cards feature 4 poems that define the “Clear Sea” concept, offering a distinct design language.
* Finish: Printed by MPC’s new crushed finish/No numbers or pips on the cards.
* Limited Release: Only 200 decks are available worldwide. This version offers a stable traditional linen finish that’s both visually stunning and smooth for card flourishes.
